dogIDs ScruffTag Collar: Waterproof, Tough & Stylish… The Lab of Dog Collars Antonio Rodriguez August 30, 2013 The LABoratory 4 Comments Waterproof. Tough. Stylish I have to admit, I kinda have a thing for dog collars. I have different collars for different activities that I do with my two Labradors, Brody and Saban. I know a lot of Labrador parents might be looking for that good all around collar, so let me introduce you to dogIDs. The Build Soft to the touch, this super durable collar is made of a grip poly coated nylon webbing. It is equipped with heavy stainless steel hardware that lets you know that this dog collar is built to last. When it is in your hands, you can feel the weight of the buckle that is sure to keep the collar secure to your Labrador. Having the built in ID tag is the icing on the cake. Clear, legible and easily identifiable, you will not have to worry about tags falling off. Brody likes the collar because he can go into stealth mode throughout the house. Add all that to a Modern look and you are good to go. A Wet & Muddy Good Time dogIDs says that there collars are waterproof and maintenance free… so I took Brody and Saban to the creek to test them out. Trying to snap pictures did not work out so well as I ended up in the watery fun too. After all the playing I realized I forgot to take pictures. Ha Ha. So I went home cleaned up and then chucked them in some water and mud to show just how “maintenance free” they are. I let the dogIDS collars marinate for several hours in both water and mud. Water = Easily Dried. Mud = Washed off Wonderfully. I dried them with paper towels and that was it. Back on the Labs. Try doing that with a typical dog collar. No smell. No Mildew. Maintenance Free. LABoratory Analysis – Approved!! With a range of colors to choose from and a nice selection of fonts for the ID, this collar is the ideal everyday, truly maintenance free dog collar perfect for any Labrador Parent. Thanking You Rosemary Sarah September 3, 2013 Hi Rosemary, you can get them right on our website at http://www.dogids.com/category/water-and-odor-resistant-dog-collars/. Thanks for your interest and just let us know if you have any questions! -Sarah, dogIDs Tonya August 5, 2014 While I like the looks of the buckle on the collar I worry about my two labs being accidentally strangled if the collar were to get hung up on something when engaged in the many outdoor activities that labs love. Swimming in rivers, lakes, hiking, jumping over fences, logs, etc. their collars can get hooked and not release with a buckle. I have been looking at the few quick release collars avail and while they offer safety, I want my two girls to have collars with style/color/little bit of flair. So, any chance you might be offering these collars with a quick release/snap type option? Thanks! Antonio Rodriguez August 7, 2014 Hey Tanya. That is a good suggestion. I will forward it on.
