LoLa: A Labrador Puppy Who will Rescue Your Heart Antonio Rodriguez January 7, 2014 Lab Rescues 2 Comments On the same day I met the New Years’s Eve Labrador Puppies from Labrador Friends of the South, I got to meet LoLa. LoLa is a teeny, dainty little black Labrador puppy that has a whole bunch of Love to give. LoLa’s Story Her story is not uncommon to us at Labrador Friends of the South. A Labrador puppy and her siblings were being given out for free in the parking lot of a Walmart, just weeks before Christmas. The people who chose to take her ended up giving up on her because of constant crying. LoLa was only four weeks old when she was separated from her mother and siblings. I do not know about you, but I am sure I would be crying all the time if the same thing happened to me at that age or any age at that. Never the less she is in good hands and has Super Foster Parents that are raising her right. Her furry foster siblings are taking a shine to her no matter what they may say. 😉 Someone’s Muse LoLa is full of life and and as sweet as they come. All she wanted to do was crawl in a warm lap and snuggle when I was there, making it rather tough to snap pictures. Her attention was drawn away when her foster mom tip-toed about, giving me my opportunity the shoot away and inspiring me to capture as much of her sweet soul as I could. Bitter Sweet Being a foster parent is never easy, especially at this age. You are up through the night and constantly have your eyes on them. Soon LoLa will be ready to find her Forever Home and a Family that will love her as much as she deserves to be loved. They will love her when she grows past the innocent sweetness and into those feisty teenage years. Like our own kids, they grow up and go through life’s stages. It does not mean they love you any less, you just have to learn to be more patient. In the end they always come back around as Sweet as they were when they were so tiny. It is always Bitter Sweet when that day comes, but as a foster parent you have to be proud and happy that you opened your home to someone that needed it the most.
