I always have a good time at Labrador Friends of the South Adoption events. This Saturday at the Labrador Adoption started out sunny and then we got a little cloudy, but still made for a nice day. Although no Labradors got adopted this weekend, we did get a lot of very interested newcomers to come check us out. Plus, any day you can spend some time helping a Rescue Lab and taking some awesome pictures, is a Good Day indeed.

I am proud to say I have fostered, rescued, placed some, held some as they passed away after knowing love only a few short days- 80 -100 dogs ( mostly labs) over the last 4 years!

Hard to believe none of your beautiful dogs got adopted, they are the most selfless breed!!! I have 2 labs (got them as puppies from breeders) Belle now 7.5 and Buster now 10.5. My next Labs will be rescues!! Just love them!!

Unfortunately, Lab Friends of the South does not transport any labs out of state. There are plenty of potential adopters up here the North who would love to have any of these beauties.

I would take each and every one of them. So disappointing that none got their forever homes, but thank you to all the selfless foster parents who care for these babies.

I have 4 Labradors, 3 are rescues. I drove over 700 miles for Moose, 700 miles for Daisy, and I found Joy under my truck in 2007 starved, burned with cigarettes and almost frozen.
Abby was the pick of the litter in 2010. It is a wonderful feeling to save a Labradors life. I wish more people would adopt a rescue!

Are all those lovely labs up for adoption? What a pity they are not in the UK – we have many branches of Labrador rescue and they often have waiting lists of people waiting to adopt. A big thank you to all those who spend their time tirelessly looking for lovely new homes for labbies xxx
