She is a Black Pedigree Labrador Retriever who was abused by her breeder and sold her to me for $250 bucks. So in my eyes she is a rescue. Her name is Cassie.

Tina Quatroni, a professional photographer, based out of New York, caught my eye with her unique style. I was also happy to find out that Tina donates her time and photography skills to PawSafe Animal Rescue. As a photographer myself, I personally have seen the benefits of what good pictures can do for rescues. So Tina should be commended for giving Rescues of PawSafe a leg up.

When I met my daughter almost four years ago, I walked into the breeders home and Cassie was in the kitchen under the table facing into the corner of the wall. Her sister was happy and running around and Cassie never came from under the table. I asked him about her and those stinging words of “she is not worth the breed” hit me like a knife. I crawled under the table, picked her up, sat her in my lap and she pee peed on me. I look at her face and said “we’ll now you have to come with me” . It took her a year to get used to my husband and not nervous pee…and today..she is happy and gets every type of a lab life! I have never been more in love in my life..her and I are soulmates! Thank you for this feature and thank you all for such kindness and love. Cassie sends you all wet sloppy kisses!

I have many friends that are breeders of Labrador Retrievers. I myself own four beautiful dogs. Never have I heard someone say those words about a pup in one of their litters. Bless you for finding her and giving her lab qualities a chance to show themselves – obviously the ‘breeder’ did not.
